John Samuel has come a long way from humble beginnings as a government employee at the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Department to currently being considered as a top-notch contracting magnate.
His entrepreneurial journey is marked by the ambition and grit that helped John elevate Metro Contracting to the lofty position it occupies today.
The company executes large-scale contracting projects for the Abu Dhabi Government, armed forces, and fibre optical telecom networks for Etisalat.

The Hand That Helps
John believes in social responsibility, and that every person contributes in their own way, big or small, towards the betterment of society. John, therefore seeks constant involvement in social and cultural activities and is well recognised among social organisations.
He is currently the General Governor of Abu Dhabi India Social Centre, a Patron of Abu Dhabi Malayalee Samajan, and a well wisher at the Kerala Social Centre (KMCC) and the Indian Islamic Centre.
John is a well recognized figure at the Indian Orthodox Church, of which he is a member, being nominated by His Holiness Paulose 2nd. The business magnate has also been elected consistently over the past 10 years to the executive council at the church.
John was also key to planning and reconstructing an old church at Mattancherry in his state of Kerala in India. Built with just mud blocks, the site attracts many pilgrims as well as earth architect students.
A philanthropist at heart, John founded the Kuruvila Charitable Trust, which helps support those in need. During the pandemic, John managed the company against adversity and in the worst of times, keeping staff morale high and protecting his loyal employees.
